Background
The iconic Gabicci label was created in 1973 by two east London based friends Jack Sofier and Alex Pyser.
The brand name was created after the founders visited the Italian resort of ‘Gabicce Mare’ and realised that they could create sharp Italian tailoring, combine it with East End rag trade expertise to create a stand out menswear look. The famous ‘G’ logo that every Gabicci piece has, was formed in homage to the excellence of Italian style!
Music and youth culture in the 70’s and 80’s, adopted Gabicci as their go to brand and it’s sharp styling played a huge part in music and youth culture, becoming a favourite of style icons such as Bob Marley and The Specials. Gabicci’s instantly recognised look is still proudly worn by some of the biggest names in the music industry
Today that definitive smart casual Gabicci look incorporates Italian styling and design flair with an air of authority and class.
Sustainability and Ethics
Garments are produced in factories that follow a strict ethical code in regard to working practices and sourcing of materials. Gabicci use environmentally friendly packaging where possible.
