Victorian Locket & Chain Gold Plate

The popularity of lockets goes from strength to strength as we all look for jewellery which has meaning and is not disposable. The locket opens and can hold two photos inside. The locket is made, hallmarked and hand engraved in Birmingham.

Locket comes on an 18" gold vermeil chain as standard. 

Locket is made from modern filled gold and measures approx 20 x 15mm, photo dimensions are 18 x 10mm.

The necklace comes presented in a gift box.

The chain and fittings are made from gold vermeil, which is 18 carat gold plated onto a sterling silver base. 

The locket is made from rolled gold; a ‘sandwich’ of layers of 9ct gold and brass permanently bonded by heating. This is a traditional method used in jewellery making, and is very durable. Please rub with a lint free cloth to clean.
